Supported Items

Below is the list of currently supported items. The list is ordered alphabetically and corresponds to the one displayed in Add Item Wizard. Some Items have limitations, and these are described in the Special Notes field.

Action Script Category The category of Action Scripts.    
Archive Constraint A custom constraint defined by the user and used by the DELMIA Apriso Archiving Engine.    
Archive Graph A set of related tables used in the DELMIA Apriso Archiving Process that are joined by Foreign Key constraints wherein one table is nominated to be the graph’s "main" table.    
Archive Process An ordered sequence of Archive Graphs that can be organized into a database transaction.    
Attachment Enables specifying files linked with DELMIA Apriso entities. The Attachment item is identified by the FUID.    
Audit Configuration The settings used to control Audit Trail.   This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.* The name is nullable and not unique! The information about Roles is not moved along.
Business Component Functional units managing a single business concept. The business logic (comprised of business rules) is encapsulated in an entity that can be integrated directly into a Process or Standard Operation.   To learn more, see the relevant section in Add Item Wizard.
Business Component Category The category of Business Components.    
Business Control Enables the execution of a specific set of business logic with a predefined user interface.    
Calendar Defines a Calendar which can be linked to other DELMIA Apriso entities such as Employee, Resource, Partner Relationship, Warehouse, Warehouse Location, Department, Work Center, Facility, and Company. It is copied only with its link to the Company.    
Category The category of Process and Standard Operation entities. Can be used in the Determination 2.0 configuration.    
Characteristic The definition of a feature that can be either continuous (a real value) or discrete (with values from a list).    
Characteristic Class A user-defined category of Characteristics.    
Characteristic Revision A specific version of a Characteristic.    
Checklist A list of questions (Checkpoints).

Checkpoint A single question or other Checkpoint.

Client A set of characteristics defining a recipient of goods or services.    
Company Represents the highest level of organizational structure in DELMIA Apriso. A Company consists of multiple Divisions.    
Container Class A user-defined category of Containers.    

Configuration File

A configuration file in the XML format.

Cost Center

An abstract item that generates costs during the execution of a Process. It can optionally correspond to a physical location in a Factory.    

Count Procedure

The Count Procedure used for defining the settings and parameters that will be used during the counting process.    

Cube View

A pivot view definition.    

Custom Action

Enables the user to define a command that will be run when the Package is deployed on the target server based on Project dependencies. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. To learn more, see Adding a Custom Action to Project.

Database Function

A function in the DELMIA Apriso database that can be used in SQL queries. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported.  

Database Package

A group of procedures, functions, variables, and SQL statements created as a single unit. It is used to store related objects together. Not to be confused with a GPM Package. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. Only supported if DELMIA Apriso is using the Oracle DBMS.
Database Stored Procedure A subroutine available to applications accessing a database. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. To learn more, see Adding a Stored Procedure to Project.

Encrypted Stored Procedures are not supported by GPM.

Database Table without data The definition of a DELMIA Apriso table. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. If such a table exists on the destination server, no action is initiated.

The item should only be used for the initial table creation. Any modifications to the table structure need to be performed through SQL Script item, otherwise the changes will not be executed.

Database View

A stored query accessible as a virtual table composed of the result set of a query. This is a dynamic, virtual table computed or collated from data in the database.

Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported.

 

Department

An organizational unit that can be assigned to a specific Division. It can consist of a group of people.    

Determination

Used to generate output(s) based on a combination of values from input(s). It works in a similar way to a CASE statement used in some programming languages.   To learn more, see Add Item Wizard.
Determination 2.0 (All Entries)

Determination 2.0 serves a similar purpose to a regular Determination, but can also be used as a container for storing and querying limited amounts of data (e.g., configurations).

Determination 2.0 (All Entries) moves a Determination 2.0 with all its entries (it cannot be exported on its own).

If you want to export only some Determination 2.0 Entries, use Determination 2.0 (Selected Entries).

Determinations with a status other than Active should not be included in a GPM package, because they may cause problems during deployment.

Determination 2.0 (Selected Entry)

 

Determination 2.0 (Selected Entry) moves one entry record and all of its dependent entry records (if any) from the chosen Determination 2.0.

It is only possible to move those Determination 2.0 entries which have a unique column or columns indicated.

Determination 2.0 Entries with a status other than Active should not be included in a GPM package, because they may cause problems during deployment.

Determination 2.0 (Configuration)  

Determination 2.0 (Configuration) moves the configuration definition of Determination 2.0 without transferring its values.

Dictionary Item

A dictionary entry and its translations in various languages.   Depending on the "LiteralDictionarySupportedTables" key, the item may copy values only into DICTIONARY_ITEM and DICTIONARY_ITEM_TRANSLATIONS and also to TEXT, TEXT_TRANSLATIONS, LITERAL and LITERAL_TRANSLATIONS tables. After deployment, translations are also copied to linked literal and TEXT tables. All affected Operations and Processes will have the HasChanges option set to false and should be recompiled. For more information, refer to the "SystemServices.Localization" section of the Central Configuration Documentation.

Dimension

Defines all of the valid Dimensions that can be measured on any object.    

Directory/Folder

A folder on the server's disk which is either a predefined DELMIA Apriso folder or a custom folder chosen by the user.

   

Disposition Status

A valid status of a Quality Disposition.    

Disposition User Status

The Disposition Status used to track the custom user status of the Disposition hierarchy.    

Division

The organizational unit assigned to a specific Company.    

Document

An item type used in Process Builder which can be displayed as part of a Process.  

This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.* It has a FUID, but it is nullable and not unique.

Document Class

The category of Documents.    

Earn Code

A 40-character code that describes a Payment Type (e.g., REG for regular, SICK for sick time).    

Employee

A DELMIA Apriso Employee Resource from the DELMIA Apriso database    

EMR Report

An EMR Report definition.    

Equipment

A DELMIA Apriso Equipment Resource from the DELMIA Apriso database.  

In cases where Equipment is linked to MI entities via an Equipment Class, the dependent MI entities are included in the Package.

Counters are moved together with the Equipment.

Equipment Class A user-defined class of Equipment containing attributes and actions.    
Excel Report An Excel report stored in the DELMIA Apriso Repository.    
Facility Defines the location of the main structural unit used in DELMIA Apriso.    
File A file on the server's disk, either a predefined DELMIA Apriso file or a custom file chosen by the user.   To learn more, see Adding a File to a Project.

FlexPart

The FlexPart functionality presents a particular Monitoring and Maintenance screen, Operation, or Report independently of DELMIA Apriso. It can have specific security rights assigned and can be customized using various parameters.   See the FlexPart Deployment section.
FlexPart Context An item that groups FlaxPart screens to help the user identify their usage context.    
GAC Component A DLL library from the Global Assembly Cache. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported.

When adding a GAC Component to the Package, you can choose its version (x86, x64, etc.).

Grade

Defines the class or level of quality of a Resource used in DELMIA Apriso.

 

 

Group Allows entities to be grouped into categories based on a variety of factors.   This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.*
Inspection Determination Enables determining the structure and content of a Quality Inspection (a Disposition) based on a functional key consisting of various system items such as Product, Facility, WIP Order Type, etc.    
Inspection Plan A DELMIA Apriso Quality Planning item which enables describing how a Quality Inspection is to be executed. The structure of the Inspection Plan determines the structure of the Disposition (Quality Control execution) in terms of the characteristics to be collected and the sampling to be performed.    
Issue Class A user-defined category for grouping Issues of the same type in the Issue Management Cockpit. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. Used in Issue Management.
Issue Flow A flow defined by a user in the Issue Flows Manager in Process Builder. It can be assigned to an Issue in the Issue Management Cockpit. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. Used in Issue Management.
Issue Flow Class A user-defined category for grouping Issue Flows of the same type. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. Used in Issue Management.
Issue Property A user-defined property used in the Issue Flows Manager in Process Builder for steps and transitions between them and then processed in the Issue Management Cockpit. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported. Used in Issue Management.
Job The definition of a user-defined job in Job Scheduler.   Deployed Jobs have columns "Last Result", "Last Started On" and "Last Finished On" filled with empty values.

Disable a running or enabled Job before deploying it.

Job Pool Defines the thread set to be used when executing a specific job in Job Executor.    
KPI The definition of a Key Performance Indicator with a corresponding KPI Grid that can be evaluated using KPI Terms based on its definition.    
KPI Category An item grouping KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).    
KPI Context An item filtering the KPI Terms so that certain terms can be used for calculation.    
KPI Term The definition of a term that can be used for calculations. It contains information on how its value can be obtained: whether it is an expression evaluation, invocation of a component, or execution of a DELMIA Apriso function.   In order to deploy a package with KPI Term item, first deploy an Operation used by this KPI Term.
  1. Copy or move dependent Operations to a new package and deploy them on the destination server.
  2. Deploy GPM package with KPI Term items.

The issue does not occur with any packages generated in current DELMIA Apriso version.

Label

Defines a label available for printout from DELMIA Apriso.    
Labor Code An attribute to further classify a labor record.    
Language Contains various Language Codes used in the system.    
Layout Defines the structure of a Screen divided into one or more Panels.    
Literal The item which moves a Literal and its translations.   This item moves data from the LITERAL and LITERAL_TRANSLATION tables. It is usually added as dependency to M&M screens or Reports.
Maintenance Procedure A Maintenance Procedure is any Equipment Maintenance activity (e.g., repair, cleaning, or spare part replacement).   Note that Work Shifts linked to Maintenance Procedures are not moved and need to be created on the destination server.
Maintenance Template Groups multiple Maintenance Procedures for better reusability in an Equipment configuration.   Work Instructions linked to Maintenance Template Procedures are moved as well.
Menu Item Items that allow access to running Processes by various users. A Menu Item can be linked to a tab, Standard Operation, parent, link, report, or FlexPart. After transferring from a DELMIA Apriso version earlier than 2016, running the Menu Item to FlexPart Converter (APUU) is required. See DELMIA Apriso Upgrade Guide for details. Run the with the following switch to convert only the selected (transferred) Menu Items: "/MemuItems:MI1,MI2,MI3...".
MI Connector A Machine Integrator entity for which the computer has the Machine Integrator application running either as a service on its operating system or as the console application. For more information, see the Machine Integrator Implementation Guide.

 

 

MI Data Source Type Defines the Data Source Type (e.g., OPC, OPC UA, and RS Data Sources) that extends the Machine Integrator functionality with the possibility of direct communication between new types of machines and devices. It consists of Data Source and Point configuration screens as well as components that handle the runtime, database configuration, as well as Excel and GPM extensions. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported.  
Notice Defines the content and rules of how a piece of information is to be displayed to the user upon login.   It is possible to transfer only Notice definition(s). The assignments will not be included in the package.
Occupation Defines the unavailability of a specific Resource in a specific Facility. It is used to track indirect Employee activity for Labor tracking. It is also used to categorize Machine Events.    
Operation A Standard Operation is a standalone entity with the same structure as a Process Operation. Standard Operations may be consumed by Processes or invoked independently.  

An Operation is added together with the categories to which it belongs.

Dependent Sub Operations are detected in the same way that Function Interpreter determines Sub Operations (see Algorithm for Detecting Dynamic Revision of Entity).

Package Actions History The history of Global Process Manager Package Actions.    
Partner A set of information defining a business partner (e.g., supplier, ultimate consumer, or company that completes orders).    
Packaging Instruction Contains definitions of Packaging Instructions and stores their statuses.    
Packaging Instruction Class Contains the definitions of Packaging Instruction Classes.    
Pay Cycle A yearly collection of Pay Periods.   When moving a Pay Cycle, its Pay Periods are also moved.
Pay Rule A set of configurable flags and settings that dictate the behavior of Time Manager.    
Picking Strategy Defines a sorting Strategy for Picking.   The linked UOM is not moved (it has to exist in the destination Dababase). Unit Characteristic is updated but Characteristic has to exist on the destination server (it is moved with a separate GPM item).

Portal Tab

Defines a Screen in DELMIA Apriso. Every tab consists of modules.  

This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.* TabName is not unique!

Printer A device (with its configuration) used for printing Processes in DELMIA Apriso.    
Printer Class A user-defined category of printers.    
Process The top-level entity in the Process model, executed when there is a Task initiated in DELMIA Apriso. This is a collection of Process Operations, Standard Operations, Resources, and materials with links to Specifications and Sample Plans.

A Process is added together with the categories to which it belongs.

Production Line Identifies a sequence or group of Production Resources that are used to execute a Production Process or Operation.    
Progress Status Defines the permitted status of the order progress. New progress statuses may be added as required during implementation.    
Progress Transition Rule Defines the permitted transition between Order Progress Statuses. New rules may be added as required during implementation.    
Project The definition of a DELMIA Apriso project used to distinguish business areas within one company (e.g., separating military and civil enterprises).    
Putaway Strategy Defines the sorting Strategy for Putaway.   Linked UOM is not moved (it must exist on the destination Dababase). Unit Characteristic is updated but Characteristic must exist on the destination server (it is moved with a separate GPM item).
Quality Gate Sequence Defines the path in which Quality Gates occur in the Inspection process.    
Reason Code A code linked with a name and type which contains the explanation of a specific action, failure, or state occurring in a DELMIA Apriso Process.    
Recipe A set of instructions for the system that define the Resources and materials to be used in a particular Production Process in DELMIA Apriso.    
Report Defines a Report available for display in DELMIA Apriso (contains dependencies: XML configuration file and report file).    
Report Category Defines a logical group of Reports.    
Reporting Services Report An item that transfers report-related files (RDL) between SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). It requires configured and working SSRS under the same alias on the destination server.  

In the case of transporting a report with a custom data source via GPM, it is necessary to manually configure the custom data source on the destination server.

In the case of updating a report with a new custom data source via GPM, the old custom data source value will remain, and it should be configured manually in the destination report after the GPM move.

Resource A DELMIA Apriso Resource such as Employee, machine, etc., from the DELMIA Apriso database.   To learn more, see Add Item Wizard.
Resource Class A user-defined category of Resources.    
Role Defines a function that can be assigned to any Employee enabling him/her to use specific Resources, see specific screens, or perform specific tasks.    
Rotating Schedule A repeating shift pattern.    
Safety Instruction A set of attributes of textual nature which guide the user through the work process he/she is to complete.   This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.* There is no key to identify it by!
Safety Instruction Usage Links multiple Safety Instructions with business entities such as Product, Facility, Resource, etc.   This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.* There is no key to identify it by!
Safety Instruction Usage Class A collective item used to categorize Safety Instructions.    
Sample Plan A sampling strategy based on Product or Process events and used by the Quality Module.    
Sampling Procedure A DELMIA Apriso Quality item providing rules for the purposes of Sample Size calculation. Sampling Procedure also determines the Acceptance and Rejection Number values.    
Sampling Scheme A DELMIA Apriso Quality itemenabling the determination of sampling parameters (Sample Size, Acceptance Number, and Rejection Number) based on Inspection Severity, AQL, and Lot Size.    
SAP Warehouse Corresponds to a SAP Warehouse, which is linked to a DELMIA Apriso Warehouse (please note that one SAP Warehouse can contain more than one DELMIA Apriso Warehouse). This is used to interface with SAP.    
Scale Class An item which is a user-defined class of Scales containing attributes and tolerances.    
Screen The combination of a Layout with its Panels and the Views used inside each Panel.    
Screen Maintenance and Monitoring DELMIA Apriso Monitoring and Maintenance Screen with complete screen profile and its authentication rules.   During GPM deployment of a M&M Screen all employee personalization settings for this particular screen are deleted and need to be configured once again.
Script A Machine Integrator Script which can be reused in MI Configuration. Entities are available through Script Repository (in Machine Integrator). See Machine Integrator Implementation Guide.    
Sequence Stores information about the sequences used in DELMIA Apriso. A sequence is defined by its name, Facility, and additional attributes. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported.  
Signature The definition of an Electronic Manufacturing Record Signature.    
Simple Product A DELMIA Apriso Product, including linked Documents.    
Sign Off Profile Used to restrict the Sign Off when certain exceptions exist in the data set being reviewed or to display warnings for these exceptions.    
Skill An ability that can be assigned to an Employee which records his/her capability to perform a specific task.   This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.* The name is nullable and not unique!
SPC Chart An element of DELMIA Apriso’s Quality suite offering a visual representation of the data to be analyzed for Quality purposes. SPC Charts are used to determine if a Process is "stable" in terms of its statistics. Each chart shows the upper and lower tolerances and the measurements which have been taken.    
Specification A set of attributes defining a Quality Inspection model used as a reference for examined products. Test results are based on conformance to the Specification.    
SQL Script A piece of SQL code used to perform custom actions on the database. Transfer to a successive DELMIA Apriso version is not supported.

System Parameter DELMIA Apriso System Parameters.   System Parameters with the Local value check box selected will be transferred without their values.
Team The definition of a group of Employees working as a team.    
Temp Badge Defines the spare identifiers for Employees. Temporary Badges are temporarily linked to Employees.    
Transaction Code Defines and identifies an inventory transaction in DELMIA Apriso. It moves the Transaction Code and its type.    
UOM A set of attributes (code, name, base, etc.) which define a particular Unit of Measure, enabling its use in DELMIA Apriso.    
Warehouse Defines a physical area assigned to a Facility and contains multiple Warehouse Locations.    
Warehouse Location Defines a particular physical location within a Warehouse.  

This item does not have a properly defined Global Unique Key.* There is no key to identity it by!

Warehouse Location Class Used for the categorization of Warehouse Locations that have the same physical properties or are designated for the same purposes.    
WebService A DELMIA Apriso Standard Operation published as a WebService.    
WIP Order Type Denotes the type of WIP Order or Order Header. There are numerous default order types which cannot be modified. If needed, custom order types can be added to a Project.    
Work Add On Metadata which a Supervisor can attach to various time and attendance items (e.g., attendance, labor, Rotating Schedule, Work Period).    
Work Center A set of attributes defining a location within a Facility which contains Resources and which is used to group activities of the same type.    
Work Instruction Class A category of Work Instruction.    
Work Instruction Revision Contains either a Work Instruction Revision of the Standard type or a Work Instruction List with all of its linked Standard Work Instruction Revisions as dependencies. This item also moves the FlexParts and Documents which are the dependencies of the Work Instruction Revision content. All of the translations of the Work Instruction Revision and the Context Usages of the Work Instructions are also included.    
Work Shift Work Shifts and Work Periods are used together with a company Calendar to determine the employee’s default schedule.    
View Used to display and/or collect information in a Panel on a Screen.    
Zone A group of Warehouse Locations which can belong to multiple Warehouses.    

*A Global Unique Key enables unique identification of items in multi-plant environments. Some DELMIA Apriso entities do not have Global Unique Keys and are identified by fields which might not be unique across plants. This can cause the system to accidentally overwrite entities across plants if their keys are the same.
