Requirements

Server

Global Process Manager (running on the host server) requires that an MS SQL Server Client and/or an Oracle Database Client be installed on the host machine in order to deploy SQL scripts and stored procedures.

Global Process Manager requires that no firewall block connections between the Global Process Manager client and server service. When you connect to the GPM service, your firewall may display a dialog box asking you to choose to allow or block the incoming connection. If you block it, GPM will not work properly.

Microsoft Message Queuing is required to be installed on the DELMIA Apriso Server. Version 3.0 (minimal installation, no active directory integration required) or higher is necessary. It is included in the Microsoft Windows Setup. If it is not installed, a warning appears, informing the user that the monitored servers' synchronization should be done manually.

Once the message is discarded using the "Do not show this message again" check box, it can be re-enabled in Options (in the Notifications tab).

Transporting items between SQL and Oracle DBMS is not supported. Since MS SQL is not case-sensitive and Oracle is case-sensitive, transporting items between these two DBMS (SQL to Oracle) using Global Process Manager is not recommended. The transported data may go missing or become unusable due to lost references or other unexpected reasons.

User

In order to use GPM, the user must have the role of Deployment Administrator.

In order to use GPM without being able to deploy Packages or Project definitions, the user must have the role of Global Process Management User.
