A Registered Server is a DELMIA Apriso server to which DELMIA Apriso Global Process Manager is connected and on which it operates. Each Global Process Manager instance connects to the service running on the Registered Server, and through it to the appropriate DELMIA Apriso database.
Only one Global Process Manager service can be connected to a database at a time. If another service attempts to connect to the same database at the same time, the connection fails and the service does not start. An error is returned and logged in the Application Event Log in Windows.
All DELMIA Apriso Global Process Manager entities are dependent on a given Registered Server and stored on the database connected to it (the Console Tree illustrates this dependence). Although multiple Registered Servers can be added, at least one is necessary for DELMIA Apriso Global Process Manager to be able to process data. You can switch between Registered Servers at any time during operation.
Registered Servers can have two states (statuses): Connected and Disconnected. A list of all Registered Servers with their current statuses is displayed in the Registered Server View Pane when the Console Root node is selected on the Console Tree. The selected Registered Server's status is also displayed in the application's status bar.
Each Node in the Console Root provides additional information about the server (when connected). In addition to its name, the server's role (first pair of brackets) and license (second pair of brackets) are also included.
The second pair of brackets can contain the following information:
If there is no second pair of brackets, it means that the server only has a license for the Process Manager module. If a pop-up box appears with following message: "Encountered a problem with your license. Please contact your DELMIA Apriso Administrator", it means the license file is invalid. However, the application will continue to load with permissions the same way that a licensed GPM module does.
