Saving a Package

The Save action is performed on a package from the Package Repository or Package Actions level (Save As... command). As a result, the selected package will be saved in the local file system in the selected folder or on the remote server in a predefined folder.

If you want to save a package containing a PB Project Module, you need to use the Save option from the PB Project's Generated Packages tab.

After selecting the Save option, the Package Wizard appears. On the first step you can:

• change the File name (the default name is formed on the basis of the Package Name, Revision, Build Number and Save Date/Time ("ProjectName_Revision_BuildNo_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM")).
• choose the Target location:
  • Destination Folder – remote Destination Folder from the list of predefined Destination Folders.
  • Local path – specify the file path. The system suggests the folder to which the package will be saved (Documents folder).

The last step contains the Deployment options.
