Send a Package Located in the Package Repository

Any package from the Package Repository can be sent on the current Registered Server, if connected. As Package Actions link to the packages stored in the Package Repository the send can also be performed from there.

To Send a Package to the Destination Server:

  1. Locate the package(s) in the Package Repository (or Package Actions).
  2. Right-click the package you want to send and select Send… from the right-click menu (or from the Action menu when the package is selected in the View Pane). If you selected single package, the first page of the Package Wizard screen will display contents of the package. You can see each item properties by right-clicking on an item and selecting "Item Properties" or by double-clicking an item. If multiple packages were selected, the wizard will immediately display destination servers list.
  3. Click Next. The screen appears prompting you to choose one of the predefined Destination Servers. You can select more than one server by ctrl-clicking. You can check "Deploy on destination server(s) (not recommended for large packages)" check box if you want the package to deploy immediately after it is received on the server(s). Note, that you cannot send package to a server that is in "Unavailable" status.
  4. Click Nextto see a list of Deployment options. Select/deselect needed options.
  5. Click Finish to start the Package send (and optionally deployment) process.
