The Properties Panel displays Map or Line properties depending on the selected node in the tree in the Explorer Panel.
The Properties Panel allows to specify properties of the Map file and the particular Lines within the Map.
The properties written in bold text are mandatory. The properties written in regular text are optional.

Map Name | Name of the root element. |
ID Position | Applies only to the Fixed mode definition. The integer value represents the character position of the text data where the line identifier value starts. By default, it starts at position 1. |

Depending on the selected mode, different Line settings in the Fields Panel are available. Available modes: |
Line Delimiter | A value separating the Lines in the same file. Usually, a carriage return and line feed are used as the line delimiter. |
Field Delimiter |
A field separating value between fields in the same line of text data. This option is available when Delimited Mode is selected. |
Skip Lines | Specifies the numbers of lines to skip. Especially useful when the first few lines of the text file contain file information, which is not important for the text map. |
Version | Version of the Map. |

Line Name | Name of the Line. |
Identifier | Identifier value is used at runtime to locate the correct line definition by matching it with the value of the first field in the text data. |
