Record Quality Defects for Disposition

To record a Quality Defect for a Disposition:

Method A (recording a new Defect to a Disposition from Inspection Cockpit):

  1. Navigate to the Disposition screen in the ADC to open a Disposition Browser.
  2. Select the Disposition you want to record a Defect for from the list of available ones in a Disposition Browser and click (Properties) (or double-click on its row) to display its details in the Editor view.
  3. Navigate to the Quality Defects tab in the Disposition Inspection Data section of the Disposition Editor.
  4. Click (Add), to add a new grid row and fill necessary fields
  5. Click Save. Note that some fields (e.g. "Defect No.") will be automatically supplemented after confirming with the Save action. The new Defect has now been created and assigned to the current Disposition.

Method B (assigning new or existing unassigned Defect to a Disposition from a Defect Cockpit):

  1. Navigate to the Quality Defect screen in the ADC.
  2. Select the Defect you want to assign to a Disposition from the list of available ones in a Quality Defects Browser and click (Properties) (or double-click on its row) to display its details in the Editor view.

    Click (Add), to create new Defect (make sure all necessary fields are provided before saving the new Defect)
  3. Scroll to the Disposition section in the Quality Defect Editor.
  4. Use Disposition suggestion lookup (enter the name if known or link one from the list of available Dispositions) to assign the Defect to a Disposition. Note that the selected Disposition must me in one of the Open statuses in order to be able to assign a Defect to it.
  5. Click Save. The Defect has been created and assigned to the selected Disposition.
